The rooms in Beit al Taybeh
There are six rooms in Beit al Taybeh, shattered around the courtyard. Some of them are named after the valleys below the guesthouse; Wadi Batha, Wadi Butm, Wadi Sabra and Wadi Tibn. Bathrooms
The bathrooms in Beit al Taybeh are shared. There are two on the upper level. One between the Batha and Sabra room. The other between the Butm and Tibn room. On the ground level there are two showers and two toilets.
We do have a solar boiler on the roof. If there was not enough sun, we need to switch on the heater to warm up the shower water so please tell us if you like to take a shower on a cloudy day and in winter time. As the hot water is on the roof, it takes a while before the hot water gets to the shower (the hot water is on the left!). Water is precious in Jordan, in order to use the water wisely, please catch the first cold water in the bucket so we can use it to water the plants or flush the toilet.
The walls of the rooms are made of big local rocks. They insulate the rooms and keep them cooler in summer and not too cold in winter. There is no air conditioning in the rooms. We can provide a fan in summer time.
If you prefer a room with air conditioning you can have a look at the rooms in our other accommodation: B&B Petra Fig Tree Villa.
