Beit Al Taybeh Guesthouse

Salaam and Ahlan wa Sahlan in Beit Al Taybeh
Beit al Taybeh, meaning the House of Taybeh, is the family house to stay when visiting Petra (Jordan). It’s the place to be when you love the peace and quiet of nature and the coziness of an ancient family house with a secluded courtyard. And above all, only a 15 minute ride (10 km) from the Petra Visitor centre.
We offer you a unwinding stay, away from the hustle and bustle of Petra. Let us help you to de-stress and recharge in the calm breeze of the mountain wind, the chirping sounds of the birds and the vast view of the starry sky.
Guests in Beit al Taybeh
Perfect for a weekend outing from Amman, a recharching stay after your Jordan Trail hike or Jordan Trail bike tour or a calm stay during your Jordan journey and Petra visit.
Also great for a retreat with a small group (up to 17 people) on a photography tour, a wilderness journey in Jordan or a Women’s journey.

Our Rooms in the family house
We offer six rooms in this authentic family house. The rooms are located on two levels around the cosy courtyard which you enter through the old wooden door.
The house is built half way the last century.
At that time, the relatives shared the courtyard and the room to store the food for the animals and each family had their own room. They could take their animals down the hill to graze in the different valleys.

Our Restaurant
On the roof of the guesthouse we built a rooftop restaurant in the same style as the rest of the building. In the morniing we serve the breakfast, that is included in your stay (when you book directly) in this dining room. We can also serve dinner to our guests as well as other travellers who'd like to enjoy a local three course dinner. Sitting in our dining room with a panoramic view over Wadi Batha, Sabra and Tibn. Without a doubt it is comfortable to have dinner here after your Petra visit. No need to drive back to Wadi Musa again. Just watch the sunset from the roof and sit at the table to enjoy the delicious, local food like Lentil soup, Maglooba and Kapsa.

The team in Beit al Taybeh
Fadi Helalat and Jolanda Koopman discovered this precious place in the beginning of 2019. They turned it into a cozy and lovely Guesthouse where tourists can relax after their Petra visit. Together with a local family they run this attractive place.
